Applauded as one of the best ski towns in the world, Park City, Utah, is the permanent home of the US ski team and is a mecca for snow-sports lovers. We'll kick off our 2027 season with a wonderful Texas Ski Council trip to this skier's paradise - one of the largest ski areas in the US, combining vast terrain with family-friendly activities, and one of the world's most innovative ski schools. With gentle slopes, world-class instructors, and a welcoming vibe, Park City makes learning to ski feel less intimidating and a lot more fun.
The resort boasts 9,326 acres with 426 runs, bowls, parks & 58 lifts. There are two ski resorts in the area: Park City Mountain Resort and Deer Valley. A third resort, Canyons Resort, was combined with Park City Mountain Resort (PCMR) in 2015 through an interconnected gondola between Iron Mountain at Canyons and the Silverlode lift at PCMR. The combined area operates as Park City Mountain Resort, but the former Canyons base area has been renamed Canyons Village at Park City.
Park City Mountain is one of North America's best ski areas offering incredible terrain parks, a world-class halfpipe (which hosted the 2002 Olympics and will host again for the 2034 Winter Olympics) and lots of family-friendly facilities. Park City Mountain is included in the EPIC Pass.
The neighboring "ski-only" Deer Valley Resort in Park City, located just minutes away from historic Main Street, offers a comprehensive five-start service experience with uniformed valets, award-winning piste grooming, limited lift ticket sales, complimentary Mountain Host tours, and gourmet dining in elegant day lodges. Deer Valley is covered by the IKON Pass.
But Park City is a ski town that has more to its identity than skiing. The world-famous Sundance Film Festival rolls in every January, and the cultural scene is lively and happening all year round.
Park City's beautiful historic Main Street is lined with colorfully painted buildings housing everything from bars and restaurants to quaint shops and art galleries full of tempting local treasures, perfect to explore when you're taking a break from the mountain. Many fantastic mining era style buildings have been lovingly restored and converted into shops, restaurants, and hotels so that you can experience the history first-hand.
