The Volunteer Award is presented to up to three outstanding volunteers as nominated by the functional VP's and determined by the Board. The winners are selected at a board meeting prior to and the Volunteer Party and presented by the President at the Volunteer Party.  The award is also announced at the Changing of the Guard.
