DSC's 4th Annual Golf Tournament

The Fourth Annual Golf Tournament was held at Brookhaven Country Club on Saturday, October 14th. We were blessed again with great weather. It was a very comfortable, cool and sunny day to play eighteen holes of golf. Having a mix of members who are drivers and putters makes this tournament a lot of fun. Driver Roger Allspaugh presented his partner and putter, Marianne Cannon, with an extensive variety of golf balls with a different one for each hole of play. Among the colors and variety of balls were hot pink, beach ball, football, camouflage, 8-ball,basketball, and many more. After finishing play, everyone met at the club house patio for happy hour. We later enjoyed a BBQ dinner of brisket, chicken, potato salad, cole slaw and corn on the cob.

Congratulations to this year's tournament winners: First Place: Chuck Gibbs and Nancy Gibbs; Second Place- Pat Gallagher and Pat Carnes; and Third Place- Zack Barksdale and Sharon Harrison. The award for closest drive to the pin was won by Chuck Gibbs.

The annual golf tournament is open to all DSC members without regard to talent or the lack thereof. If you want to have a fun time with a great group of people, come join us next year.
