Trip Signup Party

WOW.....What a huge success!! Approximately 135 DSC members and guests attended the annual 2006-2006 Trip Sign-up event on this HOT Sunday afternoon. Cape Buffalo in Addison played host and its large screen TVs were a wonderful back-drop to some exciting ski destinations.

Thanks to Sun & Ski Sports and Intrawest for their support and gift donations that made the raffle a success and appeared to hold everyone's attention until after the drawing. A special "Thank You" to Sara Ford with Sports America Tours who traveled from Park City, Utah just to attend our event and assist with DSC trips to Park City and Sun Valley. The good news, NO GREAT NEWS, is that we sold out the Austria trip, Copper Mountain and Sun Valley. We also had great interest in Park City, Panorama, Canada, Aspen and our summer trip to Thailand. Although, snow conditions can be "iffy" over Thanksgiving, the Breckenridge trip with the Texas Ski Council offers a fantastic package with great prices for children and the ability to ski Keystone (100% snow making). What about a welcome break from cooking and cleaning up from the BIG dinner and seeing the awesome sights of the Colorado Rockies instead of a full day of TV watching!

A special Thank You to all the trip leaders and assistant leaders. Their efforts begin prior to the sign-up event and continue all the way through the post-trip party. Also, thanks to the volunteers that made this event such a success!! Be sure to attend the next several Happy Hours to sign up for the remaining trips or possibly be placed on the wait list. It is immensely helpful to have someone available to take the space of a participant who is unable to attend.
