July 4th Party

The July 4th party was a success in spite of the threats of rain and, of course, a little liquid sunshine came calling in various blocks around the area. The guests gathered around the pool in the backyard for conversation, liquid refreshments and nibbles. Due to the number of people attending, we changed from burgers to already cooked brisket. With the help of several members and guests in attendance we pulled off getting dinner served. We then retreated to the inside to enjoy the food and companionship while the rain came pooring down. A few hardy souls even went into the pool for a dip. Forty-six members and guests attended. No fireworks but a good time was had by all.
